JOB DESCRIPTION

Application Management: Install, configure, and maintain applications in the managed portfolio. Monitor application performance and ensure high availability and reliability. Perform regular updates and patches to keep applications secure and up-to-date. Manage application licenses and ensure compliance with licensing agreements.

User Support: Provide technical L2 support and troubleshooting assistance to application users. Respond to and resolve application-related issues/incidents in a timely manner. Document and track support requests and resolutions using a ticketing system.

System Integration: Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate applications with other systems and platforms. Ensure seamless data flow and interoperability between applications. Participate in the design and implementation of system integration projects. Management of certificates.

Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor application performance metrics and identify areas for improvement. Optimize application configurations to enhance performance and efficiency. Conduct regular performance testing and tuning.

Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain security measures to protect applications and data. Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments. Penetration test findings remediation,

Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to application administration. Propose and implement improvements to application management processes. Contribute to the development of technical documentation and standard operating procedures.

Communication & Collaboration: Effectively communicate with customers (primary focus), also with government authorities and suppliers to ensure smooth information flow.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ proven experience in application support / application administration (L2).
  • SQL skills (able to write and troubleshoot queries); experience with Sybase or similar RDBMS is a plus.
  • Experience using DB viewer / database access tools is plus
  • Scripting skills (PowerShell) to automate tasks; comfortable with command-line tools.
  • Experience administering Windows Server environments (installation, troubleshooting, services) is plus.
  • Experience with application installation, configuration, updates, patching and license management.
  • Knowledge of application integration (APIs, data exchange, middleware) and certificate management.
  • Experience with monitoring, performance tuning and conducting basic performance tests.
  • Familiarity with security best practices: vulnerability remediation, security audits, and addressing penetration-test findings.
  • Experience with ticketing systems and incident/change management processes.
  • Czech or Slovak native speaker required.
  • Good English (able to participate and respond in meetings in English).
