JOB DESCRIPTION

Your Key Responsibilities

Full Lifecycle Engineering: Lead the design, implementation, and operation of data solutions, managing everything from business requirements to deployment and maintenance.

Platform Migration: Play a pivotal role in evolving our mission-critical platform by migrating from legacy Oracle to a modern Azure-based architecture.

Data Pipeline Optimization: Develop and optimize high-performance data models, transformations, and integrations using modern engineering practices.

Scalability & Reliability: Solve complex technical challenges regarding data consistency, performance optimization, and system reliability at a global scale.

Production Ownership: Take full accountability for your solutions in production, including supporting releases and ensuring long-term operational health.

Standard Excellence: Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of our engineering standards, tooling, and best practices.

Requirements

Your Profile: Essentials

Data & Warehouse Expertise: Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and core data warehousing concepts.

Python & Frameworks: Solid hands-on experience with Python for data engineering, including modern frameworks like Pandas, Polars, or PySpark.

Database Mastery: Expert SQL skills and experience with relational databases (ideally Postgres), including schema design and performance optimization.

Production Pipelines: Proven track record of building, operating, and owning production-grade data pipelines end-to-end.

DevOps & Automation: Experience designing CI/CD pipelines with integrated automated testing and quality controls.

Technical Translation: Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation.

Nice to Have

Reporting & BI: Exposure to MSBI, Power BI, or other enterprise-level reporting solutions.

Scheduling & Ops: Familiarity with batch scheduling tools (e.g., UC4, Tidal, Control-M) and cloud-native environments like Kubernetes.

Modern Development: Experience with Angular or other frontend technologies and a solid grasp of Agile practices.

AI-Driven Engineering: Active use of AI-supported development tools (Copilots, agentic workflows) to enhance productivity and code quality.
